Naomi Watts Black Book(0) [media-credit name="Black Book Mag." align="aligncenter" width="500"][/media-credit]
I came to the realization that Elizabeth is trying to expose people,” says Naomi Watts, in here recent interview for Black Book Mag. Naomi Watts takes charge on the May 2010 cover of BlackBook’s Sex Issue and here is what she says: On motherhood: “Every single day, I second-guess myself as a mother,” says Watts, dragging her spoon through a steaming bowl of lentil soup. She exhales slowly and smiles through the self-doubt. “I chose to be a mom. It’s something I’ve always wanted, but I feel torn between two worlds. I am not reaching the same depths and heights that I used to reach in movies because I’m a parent of two small children who desperately need me. It’s frustrating because I feel like I’m failing a bit on both ends.” Watts, also the mother of Sasha, almost 3, relocated her children to a rental apartment in Canada to film Jim Sheridan’s upcoming thriller Dream House, which also stars Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig. Meanwhile, the father of her children and her partner of five years, actor Liev Schreiber, is back home in New York receiving critical acclaim for his Broadway revival of Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge alongside Scarlett Johansson. Although Watts is still negotiating her career and her responsibilities as a mother, she would like more kids. “I would love to have an endless brood of children,” she says. “I grew up in chaos. I feel comfortable in chaos. Whether or not I’ll ever adopt remains to be seen, but I totally believe in adoption.” On being noticed with her partner, Liev Schreiber: ”I’ve literally had people come up to me and say, ‘You look just like that actress Naomi Watts.’And when I’m with Liev, who is so unmistakably him, girls will push past me shrieking, ‘Is that the guy from Scream?’” Dream House costar Rachel Weisz on Naomi: “Luminous is an overused word with actresses, but Naomi really does radiate light. She is incredibly sensitive to the slightest shift in mood or tone in another person and is able to portray the most delicate of moments, without words, as they flit across her face.” On starring in a commercial in which she plays an office worker who wins a date with Tom Cruise: ”Who knew my friend [Nicole Kidman] would end up married to him? We’ve all since joked about it. Everyone thought it was funny and silly. But, hey, I got paid something like $10,000 for that one, which allowed me to get over the humiliation pretty quickly.” On her first full-frontal nude scene: “I’ve never done full-frontal nudity before. It was so hard for me to do that. I had just had a baby, so my body was completely different. But I thought that if I was going to play this ballsy woman, I needed to go for it. [But] someone in the crew tipped off the paparazzi! Isn’t that awful?” Read Naomi’s full interview at: BlackBookMag.com |

J.J. Abrams New CIA Series – ALIAS Is Back?(0) [media-credit id=1 align="center" width="220"][/media-credit] NBC has issued its first scripted series pickup for the 2010-11 season with the order of the drama “Undercovers” from acclaimed writer/producer/director J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, “Fringe,” “Lost,” “Alias”) and executive producer/writer Josh Reims (“Brothers and Sisters”), it was announced today by Angela Bromstad, President, Primetime Entertainment, NBC and Universal Media Studios. “We have tremendous confidence in this promising series and feel this is a great way to kick off our upcoming Upfront development announcements,” said Jeff Gaspin, Chairman, NBC Universal Television Entertainment. “J.J. has delivered another signature series, along with our partners at Warner Bros., and we couldn’t be happier.” “Having J.J. on our creative team is a great reason for celebration,” said Bromstad. “In ‘Undercovers,’ J.J. and Josh have found a breakout couple that is rich in character and brimming with romance and action. We feel he’s found the perfect cast.” Abrams serves as co-writer, executive producer – and also directs – his first direction of a TV series pilot since “Lost.” “Undercovers” is a sexy, fun, action-packed spy drama that proves once and for all that marriage is still the world’s most dangerous partnership. Outwardly, Steven Bloom (Boris Kodjoe, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion, Soul Food, Resident Evil: Afterlife) and his wife, Samantha (Gugu Mbatha-Raw, “Doctor Who,” “Bonekickers”), are a typical married couple who own a small catering company in Los Angeles and are helped by Samantha’s easily frazzled younger sister, Lizzy (Jessica Parker Kennedy, “Smallville”). Secretly, the duo were two of the CIA’s best spies until they fell in love on the job five years ago and retired. When fellow spy and friend Nash (Carter MacIntyre, “American Heiress”) goes missing while on the trail of a Russian arms dealer, the Blooms are reinstated by boss Carlton Shaw (Gerald McRaney, “Deadwood”) to locate and rescue Nash. The pair is thrust back into the world of espionage as they follow leads that span the globe — and Steven and Samantha realize that this supercharged, undercover lifestyle provides the excitement and romance that their marriage has been missing. Also starring is Ben Schwartz (NBC’s “Parks and Recreation”). “Undercovers” is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The pilot was written by J.J. Abrams & Josh Reims and directed by Abrams. Abrams, Reims and Bryan Burk (“Fringe,” “Lost, “Alias”) are the executive producers. What do you think ALIAS spin off or not?
